The Accord sedan is available with either a 177-horsepower engine or a 190 horsepower 4-cylinder engine with a choice of a 5-speed manual transmission (standard) or a 5-speed automatic transmission (optional), or a 268-horsepower V-6 engine with a 5-speed automatic transmission.

More dynamic and emotional in design than any previous Accord generation, the 2008 Accord Sedan grows more expressive in its sedan style with a more substantial front-end with a distinctive 6-sided grille, taller hood line, more aggressively arched fenders, unique upper and lower style lines along the body sides, and a dynamic sweeping roofline with chrome window trimmings.

Consistent with the “Safety for Everyone” initiative, every 2008 Accord integrates sophisticated safety technology that includes the ACE body structure, side curtain airbags, driver and front passenger dual-chamber side airbags with a passenger-side Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS), and dual-stage, dual-threshold driver and front passenger airbags (SRS). Additional standard safety features include an anti-lock braking system (ABS) with brake assist, front seatbelts with pretensioners and load limiters, and a pedestrian safety design in the front of the vehicle.
